He has recently created some spiritually minded pieces and, IMHO, I believe combining his manimal work with more spiritually directed material would be a real plus. I like that he has headed in that direction and I hope he explores it further. This causes the satyrs to have decidedly thinner legs than I have seen in the majority of satyr art pieces but, again, it also makes for satyrs that are distinctly original to Frank’s work.įrank has branched out in the last year or so and has experimented with pieces using fantasy art as backdrops and he has added special effects to some pieces. I think he reuses the leg elements from his deer stock photos to create the legs for the satyr images he does. But this gives the work a more realistic flavor as most males aren’t superstuds. His male models are interesting in that they are more “average joe” than the models most of us PMers choose. I can imagine getting good photos of cervine and equine hinds is a bit difficult, so I can hardly fault him for reusing the best ones repeatedly.

Frank likes to repurpose his photos, so you’ll find the same deer hind used multiple times. The countryside is gorgeous and placing his models in the great outdoors really enhances the effect of the pieces. Most all of the work is assembled from photographs he has taken in the woods and by the streams outside Augusta, Maine. AKA “Frank” and he’s been quite busy by the increase of works now visible here.įrank’s work is quite different from that of other phot0-manipulators. It’s been quite a while since I last posted a collection of the photomanipulations of Maine artist FEP, Jr. Now I am taking that same loving energy and investing it in being whole again. Knowing there is a solid core of people out there who resonate to the great centauric vibration (Ooo, cosmic!) has made creating this blog a labor of love. Please check Centaurica Links as there are many other worthy sites featuring centaurs and such that await your perusal. Please don’t hold your collective breathes about that. Perhaps, as winter comes into play, I will return here to post many of the images I have already got stored in an image file folder and are worthy of showing to my fellow centaur/manimal lovers. So, for the time being, I am letting the past posts speak for themselves and new posts are on hold. Collecting new material for Centaurica would be just such a process. It’s been a great ride so far and I have no intentions of dragging my feet and slowing down the momentum. I am very much reclaiming my health and that has, rather magically and unexpectedly, caused a major life reinvention in the process. It’s because my entire life has shifted into a new direction and I intend to move forward with the flow. This isn’t because I don’t still love manimals and centaurs in particular. As you may or may not have noticed if you deign to keep track of this little enterprise, I haven’t made a post of new centaur or manimal related material in the last three weeks.
